Pumpkin Scone Recipe
- Prep time: 30-35 minutes
- Cook time: 10-12 minutes

Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups self-rising flour (make
your own self raising flour)
- 30g butter at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar
- ½ cup mashed, cooked pumpkin
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
How to Make Pumpkin Scones
- Preheat your oven to 210 degrees Celsius and prepare a baking
sheet by greasing with butter or oil.
- Chop butter into small pieces.
- Add sugar to butter and beat with an electric mixer.
- Lightly beat the egg and add to the butter mixture.
- Mix in pumpkin and milk.
- In a separate bowl, sift flour and create a small depression in
center of bowl.
- Add liquid mixture and beat lightly with a flat knife until
dough is soft and slightly moist.
- Knead dough briefly and roll out to form a 2cm (1inch) thick round.
- Cut the dough into individual scones approximately 5cm in
diameter.
- Place scones on baking sheet and glaze with milk.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until scones are golden brown.
